About

Thank you for your interest in Underwater magazine, the official magazine of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI). ADCI was founded in 1968 by a small group of diving companies. Their goal was to create a non-profit organization that would cultivate and promote commercial diving, establish uniform safety standards for commercial divers, and encourage industry-wide observance of these standards. The organization has grown to more than 600 member companies, schools and vendors, and it has cultivated a supporting and individual membership in 41 countries worldwide.

The ADCI Mission

  • To promote the highest level of safety in the practice of commercial diving and underwater operations.
  • To promote proper and adequate training and education for industry personnel.
  • To foster open communication within the Underwater Industry.
  • To hold all members accountable in adherence to the ADCI International Consensus Standards for Commercial Diving and Underwater Operations.

Underwater magazine not only serves members of ADCI but is intended to serve the commercial diving industry with educational and topical articles, case studies, thoughtful commentary, coverage of trends and actionable best practices.
